What mutuality looks like to us--a special podcast
Christa and I join The Changes Ahead podcast, where we share about our marriage and a bit about power in the church
I recently got to share about what mutuality looks like for me and my wife, Christa, on The Changes Ahead Podcast. The podcast seeks to capture thoughts of people who can see the changes ahead of us not only for the church in Aotearoa New Zealand, but across the world. It was a joy to sit alongside Christa and share with Steven Goulstone and Cathy Marston.
In the past, I’ve shared a bit about our story in various posts, including, “I didn’t see a woman do that until I was 23,” and “You’re going to have authority problems in your marriage.” Check those out if you haven’t yet.
On the podcast, we talked about some of these stories and more broadly about our marriage, why mutuality makes sense to us, why we think it’s the best way to honor God and one another. We also explore a few questions about power and authority in the church later on in the episode, so be sure to listen all the way through.
Check out the episode below.
I hope you enjoy hearing a bit of our story. Feel free to share this post with someone it might encourage, and as always, leave a comment below if you’ve got a question, criticism, or anything else. Thanks for reading Grumpy Ramblings!
Thank you, this was brilliant. Honest, practical, and hosted with encouragement and words of blessing
