Feel free to sit and chat
Grumpy Ramblings is a series of conversations about all sorts of topics. I’m hoping to facilitate a space where questions are welcomed and explored together, with other voices chiming in with unique experience and expertise.
I don’t have it all figured out, but I love to ask questions. I get fired up talking about the church as family, the dignity of all people, and human flourishing. I ramble about human authority in the church, toxic masculinity, and how to change some of our subconscious narratives.
I’m excited about engaging with you, and hope you find this space a respite and safe for inquiry, discovery, and whatever grumpiness we all may carry.
About Matt
I’m a partner to Christa, who teaches theology. She’s amazing. I have two ridiculous and clever children, Raya and John. I’m an American expat living in Aotearoa New Zealand. Give me a mountain and a river or a meadow to run through, and I’m happy as.
